Oscoda Lakeside Hotel Nearby

Wiltse's Brew & Family Restaurant Oscoda is a place full of family fun. The restaurant is decorated with old photographs and memorabilia of the Wiltse family, who have owned and operated the restaurant for over 30 years. The menu features American cuisine, including burgers, fries, chicken fingers and pizza. There is also a wide variety of beers on tap, as well as wine and cocktails. The restaurant is open seven days a week from 11:00am to 10:00pm.

The Huron-Manistee National Forests Lumberman's Monument Visitor Center in Petoskey, Michigan, is home to a new statue by Robert Ingersoll Aitken. The bronze sculpture honors the men and women who have worked in the forests and timber industry throughout the region.

The monument features six bronze figures representing various aspects of lumbering a logger on a ladder; a miller at work a truck driver unloading logs a sawyer at work a logger with an axe and a woman with an axe. The statue was created by Aitken as part of his ongoing series of sculptures designed to honor important figures in Michigan history.
